Huge Norwegian Forest Cat the size of a large Maine Coon

On average, the Norwegian Forest Cat (NFC) is smaller than the Maine Coon but there are exceptions and this is one of them. Not all MCs are larger than NFCs. This TikTok video illustrates the point. This NFC is very classic in terms of 'type' meaning desired appearance as per the breed standard. Super appearance. Huge Norwegian Forest Cat the size of a large Maine Coon. Image: MikeB from screenshots. Here is the video. For me it is a bit irritating because of the soundtrack. Horrible for me. But the point is made about size. This is a great NFC. A classic in terms of coat: a grey tabby-and-white. It is his size which is untypical for this breed although they are one of the largest domestic cat breeds challenging the supremacy of the Maine Coon sometimes .
Great video. the last showing is our cat. I find this bread to unpredictable in behavior. very loving at times and then becomes very agressive to their favorite family person in the middle of petting. All in all, this is a great cat. Large and beautiful and great to pet and hold because the loud purring and the fluffy, silky texture of their coat. my email is bryan.barney@sbcglobal.net
ReplyDeleteI envy you for having a Norwegian Forest Cat as a cat companion. I have always kept moggies but perhaps next time I might adopt a purebred cat and one possibility is the Norwegian Forest Cat.
ReplyDeleteWe thought we had a moggie as our kitten's mother was a short haired tabby and white. But then out beautiful boy's fir became thicker and glossier and the vet told us her was going to be long haired. Having had cats before, I would not have wanted a long haired cat but now I honestly would not want him any other way. He is the most perfect cat we could ever have had, I absolutley love and adore him. As a Norewegian forest cat, he has the most perfect of temperaments and is a great pet. He could sit on out laps occasionally but part from that we could not ask for more.
