Huge Norwegian Forest Cat the size of a large Maine Coon

The nice thing about this video is that you get a chance to see a lot of Norwegian Forest cats together and these individuals should comply fairly accurately with the breed standard (as they are show cats) and therefore they should be typical in appearance of this cat breed. Note: I don't like the music. Too grand. This is a cat show not a royal marriage or procession.
I think that's quite important because quite a lot of the time on the internet you will see a cat described as a Norwegian Forest cat but the individual may be a rather poor example of the breed in that they don't comply with the breed standard. I think people need to know what this breed looks like.
Also, on the internet you will get a lot of people mis-describing their cat or they believe that their cat is a Norwegian Forest cat and it may in fact they may be a hybrid. One person commented on this video saying that the cats are being harmed. That's an exaggeration but a lot of people don't like cat shows.
And there is something both nice and unpleasant at the same time about cat shows. Plenty of stunning cats but they are kept in cages with curtains to keep them calm but there's quite a a lot of noise because shows in America take place in large facilities with high ceilings and so the sound reverberates.
There's lots of people in the show hall. Sometimes a cat might escape their cage at which point there's panic as the owner and friends of the owner try to recover the cat. It's a little bit disturbing to see a wonderful looking purebred cat anxiously running around a show hall in a state of confusion.
Organisations like PETA frown upon cat shows. This is because they consider the cats to be used by humans for their entertainment and they say that animal should not be abused or used in any way, shape or form by people. I happen to agree with them although it is a very tough stance to take.
We shouldn't forget the cats and how beautiful they are. This is a very popular breed although not as popular as a similar-looking cat, the Maine Coon. Sometimes people get mixed up between the two. They do look similar. If you want to see the difference look at their muzzle.
